Colors in the Desert

Never thought too much about it, but the desert has amazing colors.  I have no idea what these plants are (except for the cactus - that's pretty easy!), but I loved taking pictures of all the pretty colors.

Enjoy . . .

The intrepid flower photographer

The last six pictures are worth their weight in every step
we took to hike along the Wildcat Trail at the Navajo
Nation's Monument Valley - the sand was so soft, it was
misery walking in it.  And the trail started off going down,
down, and down which meant we had to trudge up, up,
and up to get back!

Was it worth the effort?  I'd say Yes!

Until next time . . .

  1. Hi Kathy & Bill,
Monument Valley is our most favorite place out west. We were lucky, it had just rained & they had just scraped the valley floor when we were there. Took our small motorhome into the valley & toured - I believe it cost us $5.00 - what a bargain! You did an amazing job on the flowers. Can't wait to see you this summer - Enjoy!
